Frequently Asked Questions

Q?

Can I Change My Site Without Additional Cost?

A.

We try to give as much latitude as possible. After you've selected the overall layout and color scheme, we'll compile 3 major revisions at no charge. All minor changes are included in the cost.

A minor change would be swapping out images, changing text, moving a page, updating a menu etc. A major change would be re-configuring the layout, updating the website structure etc. We will clarify prior to completing the work whether it would require an additional charge to be billed.

Q?

Are references available?

A.

Without a doubt! You can see many of our completed projects in our Portfolio. If you would like a reference and discussion with a client, as a courtesy to existing clients, these references are not provided until we are the chosen website designer. We feel that our portfolio speaks for itself!

Q?

Are your websites search engine friendly?

A.

All of our websites are designed and optimized for search engine friendliness. In addition we incorporate our search engine optimization elements for each project to ensure the best possible inclusion rate. We know all about crawl-bots, robots.txt, sitemaps, backlinking, copywriting and more.

Q?

I see you are based in Michigan, do you work solely with local clients?

A.

We are located in the one-and-only, beautiful Traverse City. We believe that talent is more important than location and are willing to travel for the right project, if necessary. Our web design and SEO clients are found in and out of Michigan. Most clients have selected us based on our performance, expertise, designs and referrals ... not because of where we are located.

Q?

Do you accept all clients?

A.

NO! If the project and client isn't a good fit, we will not waste any time and advise you upfront that we are not the right company for your project. A website can be a major endeavor so you have to have the right designer and the client-designer relationship has to be in sync for a project to be successful.

Q?

What payment options do you accept?

A.

Check, money order and/or cash are accepted. We do not accept credit cards. All projects require a down payment that is dependent on the complexity of the project.

Q?

How is the cost of a new website determined?

A.

Our cost structure is dependent on many factors including: complexity, functionality, features, size, support, updates, search engine optimization, social media integration, text material (copywrite), ecommerce size and more. We customize each project quote to ensure you are receiving fair pricing for your website. We also remain competitive by reducing the cost in the following years after the initial creation.

Q?

What are analytics?

A.

Analytics is a phrase used to describe data that "analyzes" a website. The analytics software we utilize is Google Analytics and it provides an abundance of information to help make positive changes to your website for better user experience and search engine optimization results.
